2020 Highlights

We had the fantastic opportunity to design and build a BUNCH of great yards this year. I’ll review a couple here but try to stay brief!

Evergreen

In case you didn’t know, we took a step further into the exciting world of designing and installing swimming pools! Fiberglass pools are the best option for our climate due to the longevity and maintenance-free nature of the pool type. We completely designed and built the whole yard’s landscape including from lawn, plants, brick steps along the side yard, patio, swimming pool, retaining walls, trees, custom pool house, hot tub area, outdoor BBQ, artificial turf, landscape lighting and ground covers— WOW, that's a long list!

We don’t have a lot of great photos or videos from the project yet as it was wrapped up in October, but be on the lookout for an amazing display once we can get proper images in the spring!

Stonebridge

We got to get creative and fit lots of really neat and useful features into a relatively small backyard. Ground level planters, raised planters, a very custom pergola and curved deck, paving walkway and firepit area, lawn with irrigation, stepping stones and large brick steps. This was a fun project and we look forward to going back in spring to put on the finishing touches!

Greenbryre

We had two large projects in Greenbryre this year. Spending a significant amount of time on each really allows you to feel invested in the yard and how the homeowners will use it. On the first, the feedback we got from the day we finished was “we are using every part of the yard, more than we thought we would”— that’s a victory in my eyes!
The second yard allowed us to explore some creativity along with Haven Builders as we collaborated to design a custom set of Corten steel stairs. Designing, building, installing and finishing the surrounding area was a great experience and the homeowner was thrilled with the grand entrance to the rest of the yard and the memories to be made in it.

Eagle Ridge

We had the wonderful pleasure of returning to Eagle Ridge to work for some of our favourite long-term customers this year to install a new product that we distribute and install called Struxure. Struxure is a motorized pergola system with rain sensors that automatically close the roof when the weather takes a turn.

These homeowners have allowed us to get creative over the years to create what I think is the best backyard space I have ever seen. Struxure motorized pergola, Lumon glass-enclosed room with heaters, hot tub with covering, patios, cedar pergolas, brick steps, new cedar deck— this yard has it all!

This is just a brief highlight of the cool projects we get to work on and we look forward to making new highlights in 2021!
