The answers to questions like these help give our design team guidance as to what kind of features to include in your yard. For example, if you like to entertain people we want to make sure your patio is large and open enough to seat your family and friends. If reading a book by yourself is a preferred evening plan, we may design a smaller patio with a privacy panel and trees around it to create a sense of cozy-ness.

Getting to know you is the first step in guiding a design that fits a lifestyle and doesn’t include unnecessary elements.

Most homeowners have an idea of some of the features they would like in their yard. We work to prioritize them and formulate a plan around them.

For example, a deck is needed due to your elevated back door. A paving stone patio once you come down the steps is wanted. Outdoor furniture and landscape lighting are dreams to make your yard comfortable and usable any time of day.

By using rough numbers we can quickly determine if the service we provide aligns with your budget.

We don't always ask for a budget number up front because we don't want it to seem like we are marking up our prices if they are lower than the budget. For certain larger items we need to know a budget ahead of time so as to not waste our time or the customer's (for example: swimming pools, 3-season rooms, etc.)

During this phase we select sizes, shapes, materials and elements going into your yard. We present the design and quote and make any revisions necessary to the design. Once the design is established and quote agreed upon we collect a deposit and order materials, set a weather dependent start date and get excited for what is to come.

Having already had underground services marked by the appropriate utility companies, once the start date arrives our crew gets to work on marking out elevations and dimensions as necessary. Now is when you, the homeowner, get to see your yard transformed.

Since the design was already agreed upon and was seen in advance there are no surprises as to what is being installed or where. If any changes are asked for we take them in stride and make the change order happen.

Once we have completed the build and moved off site we make sure to clean up the street by sweeping and scooping up leftover materials or sending street sweepers when necessary.

After a project we appreciate the opportunity to take photos, videos and collect other information we may need to help promote our products and services. Our homeowners are often excited about this because the process has been smooth and the end product beautiful.
